Photo 1
To take this photo I had light which was fitted with a snoot shinning directly on to both the hands this created the brightness on the models right hand and the shadowing on the left hand, to make sure that the shadows weren't too dark I set up a light with a soft box to add detail.

Inspiration and lighting set up
With this photo I set up a light with a snoot
very close to the models hand, this made the hand straight away standout
because It was the brightest thing In the photo against the black background,
but even though the hand stands out against the black it also works as a
background for the leaves and things placed on the hand. To create the lines of
different shadows on the hand I got someone to put their hand in front of the
light, I did this because it makes the photo more interesting rather than just
a plain hand.
Photo 3
Inspiration and lighting set up
This photo was the only one I did outside the studio, this means I used the flash on my camera. because I thought the original photo looked mysterious I wanted to carry on this theme, to carry on this theme I used the same sort of stairs but instead of a model standing on the I just used the shoes which encourages the viewer to start asking questions.
Photo 4
Inspiration and lighting set up
In this photo I used two lights one was the light with a snoot which was placed behind me pointing directly at the model face, this created the shadowing underneath the eye cover and behind the head, like the first photo to make sure the shadows weren't too dark I set up a light with an umbrella on it to soften the light and bring details of the model out.
Photo 5
Inspiration and lighting set up
In this photo I set the model up on a chair close to the wall, I then set up a light with a regular reflector on It, this is because the light was strong enough to cast a shadow of the model and could still light up the back wall, I did this instead of using a snoot because with a snoot I wouldn't of been about to get the full effect, there wouldn't have been enough light contrasting with the shadow.
